I am a strength based therapist. You are the author of your story. I consider it an honor to help people on their journeys and reframe what keeps people from being their best selves. It isn't about surviving, it is about thriving.

Experience

After graduating in 2009 I have served people in different areas that help me understand people in many stages of life. 

· 

Hospice – volunteer coordinator 

Cancer hospital –Mind/Body Therapist providing therapy to caregivers, patients, families, and staff. 

Community mental health – Working with individuals ages 5 to 70, couples, and families.  Focus was  children/adolescents, families, and couples.   

School - High school Interventionist (school therapist)

Volunteer - Currently a volunteer victim advocate for the local police department

Nonprofit - Family therapy with children with life threatening or chronic illnesses.

My view

  

When we have a difficult time with small changes, fear of larger ones can keep us hostage. I help people to process what is keeping them from their best life. We all have challenges. Let’s work together so your emotions or thoughts don’t stop you from the changes you want to make in life. I believe you are stronger than you give yourself credit for, and intelligent even when you are making choices that aren’t always healthy. 

  

I offer help in understanding how not only to ride the wave of change but to work through it . Learning how to move in a positive way  will help with all the other changes that happen in your life. I work collaboratively with you to learn coping skills, process any emotions that come up and have hope for the future. I am a strength-based therapist, meaning you have strengths that have helped you survive this far. We will take those and build on them.
